"DRY"

Luis Carvalho was born in Vizela twenty-eight years ago. He has a degree in Fashion and Textile Design by The Superior School of Applied Arts, of the Castelo Branco Polytechnic School.

 

He created his brand in 2013, which also marked the beginning of its presence at ModaLisboa event. He has since gained prominence in a series of publications of his work.

 

Along with the presentation of its SS15 collection, he accepted the invitation of LAVA SURF CULTURE® to instill his unique vision in two board models.

A dry winter…

 

A structured collection, where the lightness and fluidity of the 30’s take shape and contrast to the rigidity and structure of materials. Textures from a dry nature are the inspiration for the motives and details.

 

A male/female contrast, give a new being to the most delicate pieces. The palette gets dark and all its tones dry, thus obtaining a variety of shades of green and beige on robust/fluid materials.

"SHELTER"

Along with the presentation of its SS15 collection, he accepted the invitation of LAVA SURF CULTURE® to instill his unique vision in two board models.

Over simple and cleaned pieces, are created overlays that will provide new forms and silhouettes, offering us a mix of styles classic/relaxed.

 

The stained effect found on the print, created in the shadows of that different layers and the metallic effect, all came from the rocks that construct this “shelter”.

Fragmented lights

João Pombeiro, acknowledged fashion stylist, was invited by LAVA SURF CULTURE® to together create four unique models based on CURIOUSER – WONDER ROOM at ModaLisboa, and to direct, through his singular and professional vision, an unique exquisite work.

 

In a mix of apparently surreal ideas, with insightful vision and positioning, arises the application of unusual materials, which result in perfection. Purplish and gold leaf, are examples of mixing the urban singular and the plural of nature, basing in the antithesis between the sophisticated and the stripped, tuned by the subtlety of the personalities contrasts that identify the brand.

The eccentric in maximalist fine style.

The Gold contrast and the manufacture of resin, denounce the hi-lo style, which enhances the classic sobriety and the baroque universe.

The shape highlight refers to the merger of sunshine tone when it focuses on the sand.

The result is a gem, an amulet.

In a mix of apparently surreal ideas, with insightful vision and positioning, arises the application of unusual materials, which result in perfection. The whole which is built in bicolor harmony that flows in the authentic organization tone and, especially the unique work.

The union of conformity reassures the elegance in the construction of figure color blocking, which makes the marked work easy to interpret.

Even with illuminated points, B & W does not lose discretion.

Red is not simple casualty. So expressive, it becomes reason.

That’s life translated into tonality, the tangent pulse hitting a single point.

The heat of composition - basically totally red - emphasizes the power of an unique piece, with the charm of “little red dress”.
