Useful Surf Accessories You Must Have (Part II)

We follow through the second part of our list of accessories that are (almost) indispensable to the contemporary surfer, ranging from decks and racks to specialized watches.

Deck

The deck is an non-slip mechanism and a possible substitute to wax. It is permanently attached to the surfboard in the tail área (where the surfer’s back foot is) and offers excellent traction.

Rack

Carrying surfboards in any way is never easy - especially by car. The safest way to do it is by using racks - relatively cheap and efficient systems to get your boards safely on your car roof.

Sunglasses

There are few things in the world that can rival the feel of the cool breeze on your face in a beautiful morning, but for those who truly make this sport a parto f their lives, it is absolutely mandatory to take constant care of oneself. Surfers are particularly exposed to various elements that can affect their vision and sight (sun, wind, dust, etc.), so it is quite essential to always keep in hand a good pair of sunglasses.

Leash

Leashes are used to attach the board to one of the surfer's legs. Its role is essential, not only for the surfers performance and his/her safety when surfing, but also of his/her board and others in the water.

Watch

A watch is a useful accessory in any context of our lives, but a true surfer can become even more complete if he/she has a watch to match. Nowadays, there are several models that predict tides, have GPS, allow to workout tracking and more. Some examples of great surf watches are the Vestal Brig, the Rip Curl World Tide,  the Nixon Supertide and Shark Tide
